  1. What is Articles on Demand (AOD)?
    Articles on Demand (AOD) is our online article database. Through AOD you can access over 2,300 practical Exchange articles written by the top experts in the field, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each article is available in PDF format and can be printed or downloaded to your computer. You can purchase individual articles or a subscription to access the entire database.
  2. I subscribed to Articles on Demand, but when I search for an article it only shows me the first 150 words and says it will cost $3.00. Why?
    To access the full articles in html or PDF format, you must log into your Exchange account. Once logged in, you can search for articles through the Exchange Articles page. When you are logged in, you will receive notification that you have access to the article as an AOD subscriber.

  3. I purchased an article. Where is it?
    Articles are delivered to your online account on our website. Immediately after you place your order, you will receive a confirmation message providing a link to download your purchase. You can retrieve your downloadable PDF items at any time by doing the following:

    1. On the home page of our website, www.childcareexchange.com, click on "Login" in the upper right hand corner.
    2. Enter your e-mail address and password.
    3. Click on My Purchases.
    4. The items you ordered will be listed here. Click on the title to open the PDF file. You need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer to open these files. To obtain a free copy of this program, visit http://get.adobe.com/reader/. Once you have opened the file, you can print it or save it to your computer.
    If you have any difficulty accessing your articles, contact us. Be sure to include your full name, email, and address.
  4. When I click on the link to download an article, nothing happens.
    In order to download an article, you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. To obtain a free copy of this program, visit http://get.adobe.com/reader/. Once you have opened the file, you can print it or save it to your computer.
  5. Can I make copies of my articles?
    When you purchase an individual article or a subscription to Articles on Demand, you are purchasing the permission to print a single copy of the article for your own use only.

    If you are the director of a single center, you also have permission to make copies of articles for your staff members and/or parents.

    If you would like to make copies or reprint an Exchange article for any other purpose, including trainings, higher education courses, and newsletter distribution, please complete our permissions request form.
